A meeting of representatives of the agricultural, water and livestock sectors was held in the building of the Hydrometeorological Service of the Ministry of Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan, in a round table format. The topics of drought and temperature increase in the regions of Central Asia and Turkmenistan, in particular, were discussed. Solutions for preventing and combating drought were also proposed. The meeting was organized within the framework of the FAO/GEF regional project: "Integrated Natural Resource Management in Drought-Prone and Salt-Infested Landscapes of Agricultural Production in Central Asia and Turkey IMCALM-2".
